Frogs at Middle Path

3 young Green Tree Frogs, disturbed during a spring-clean of the garden, perch on Aloe leaves to survey the situation and assess the threat.
Despite the camera being shoved in their faces these placid creatures were content to observe proceedings and remained on their perches for the duration of the weeding session.
Of all the frogs we encounter at Middle Path these must surely be the most endearing.
Green tree frogs are frequently found in the vegetation where they are, hopefully, adequately camouflaged from the bulk of their many predators. |
I am always intrigued by the frogs' ability to fold themselves into a maximally moisture-retaining bundle. |

Possibly a Fleay's Barred Frog (Mixophyes fleayi) this little fellow came to light in the workshop one spring, looking slightly dehydrated.
