Rarely seen alone, Rainbow Lorikeets are continual visitors throughout the day and the year.

They are rarely quiet and will vigorously contest the feeding pecking order with anyone and anything - usually coming out on top.

One of our less-timid visitors, the Lorikeets will usually remain feeding while we approach.

Another pair at the feeder

A group of Rainbow Lorikeets queuing at the feeder - usually accompanied by loud and raucous screeching about whose turn it is next.

The Lorikeets are easily the most vociferous visitors and become quite outraged if the bird feeders are not properly provisioned at the right time.

If we are running late with fueling the feeders the noise level and tone of outrage increase until it is just much more pleasant for everyone involved to stock them right away.
